Workout Creation¶
One of Stridevox's most powerful features — ask the AI to create a structured workout, then send it directly to your Garmin watch with one click.
How It Works¶
- Ask the AI to create a workout in the Chat
- The AI generates a structured workout in Garmin-compatible format
- A Send to Garmin button appears on the workout block
- Click the button to upload it to your Garmin Connect account
- The workout syncs to your Garmin watch automatically
Asking for Workouts¶
In the Chat, simply describe what you want. Examples:
- "Create an interval workout to improve my 5K time"
- "Build me a tempo run for this week"
- "Design a progressive long run workout"
- "I want a speed session with 400m repeats"
- "Create a recovery run workout with easy pace"
Be specific about your goals
The more detail you provide, the better the workout:
- "Create a 10x400m interval workout with 90s recovery, targeting 4:00/km pace"
- "Build a 60-minute tempo run that starts easy and finishes at threshold pace"
The Workout Block¶
When the AI generates a workout, it appears as a formatted code block in the chat with:
- Workout structure (warm-up, intervals, cool-down)
- Pace targets for each step
- Duration or distance for each step
- Recovery periods
Below the workout block, you'll see a Send to Garmin button.
Sending to Garmin¶
- Review the workout in the chat
- Click Send to Garmin
- Wait for the upload confirmation
- The workout appears in your Garmin Connect account under Training > Workouts
- Your Garmin watch syncs the workout on next connection
Workout uploaded!
A success notification confirms the workout has been sent to Garmin Connect.
Garmin connection required
You must have a connected Garmin account to use this feature. See Connecting Garmin.
Supported Workout Types¶
The AI can create workouts for:
- Running — Intervals, tempo, long runs, fartlek, recovery
- Cycling — Intervals, endurance, hill repeats
- Walking — Structured walks with pace targets
Tips for Great Workouts¶
- Mention your current fitness level — helps the AI set appropriate targets
- Specify duration or distance — "30-minute workout" or "10K workout"
- Include recovery preferences — "with walking recovery" or "with jog recovery"
- Reference your data — "based on my recent 5K pace" lets the AI use your actual performance
- Iterate — if the workout isn't quite right, ask the AI to adjust: "Make the recovery periods longer" or "Add a warm-up"
